Host Hotel
The host hotels are the Marriott Pere Marquette and Courtyard by Marriott.
These sister hotels are connected to one another, and they are connected to the Peoria Civic Center via a climate controlled, dog friendly skywalk. They provide complimentary parking and a free airport shuttle to Peoria International Airport. They offer easy access to fine dining, exciting nightlife, and are located within walking distance of the Peoria RiverFront.
These hotels normally do not allow pets, but they are delighted to host our Collies. As the manager put it when we were first considering this site, "I want to see Collies all over this hotel!"
UPDATE 3/18/2019: Marriott Pere Marquette Reservations - Refrigerators
When we first contracted the Marriott Pere Marquette as one of our host hotels for the 2019 National, they were in the process of outfitting all rooms with refrigerators. We were promised that by our 2019 event that project would be complete. We had been checking in with them regularly to see if everything was still on schedule, and we were assured each time that it was!
In 2018 the owners of the property went into bankruptcy and all expenditures were put on hold. The property was subsequently sold, and we were again assured everything should be back on schedule to be completed in time. But unfortunately, time was not on their side, with the new owners just now coming out of receivership they had not been able to move forward with furnishing the final rooms with refrigerators.
We are currently working with the management and they are doing everything possible to alleviate this unfortunate situation. Please be patient and courteous in your dealings with the staff, as they will be doing their best to accommodate your needs.
Upon checking into the Pere Marquette, you will be asked if you need a refrigerator in your room. If you do not, please let them know so as many others that do can be accommodated!
Additionally, if the Pere is unable to provide you with a room with a refrigerator, you MAY be offered the opportunity to change your reservation to the Courtyard IF a room is available there. This will be determined at the time of your check-in, there are no guarantees!
For those of you they are unable to accommodate, the Pere will be providing already bagged ice free of charge for you to use in your coolers. Just ask at the front desk
We apologize for this inconvenience and are making every effort to get the word out! Again, the staff at the Pere is going above and beyond to work with us on this, please be appreciative!

Exercising your dogs
The Civic Center (show site) is directly across the street from the hotels and parking garage. There is no grass on the hotel side of the street, but the Civic Center has plentiful grass for walking dogs. We will also be setting up an exercise area (chips on top of plastic with temporary fencing) on the lower level of the parking garage; this will provide quicker access from your room for a quick potty break and will be under cover in case of rain.

RV Parking - Peoria
RV parking will be available March 24-31 in the Peoria Civic Center Marquee parking lot adjacent to the Civic Center. The Civic Center will be providing a limited number of electrical hookups (approximately 12).

Airport Information
Peoria International Airport (PIA) is located 6 miles from the Civic Center and is serviced by Allegiant, American, Delta, and United airlines. Jets flying into Peoria can accommodate size 400 crates per specific airline rules.
PIA offers nonstop flights for 12 destinations, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas/Fort Worth, Detroit, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Orlando, Phoenix, and Tampa/St. Petersburg.
An airport shuttle is available for guests staying at the host hotels. For airport pickup, call the hotel directly after landing.
Other major airports
Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) is a 2 ½ hour drive from Peoria.
Jets flying into O'Hare can accommodate size 500 crates.
St Louis International Airport (STL) is a 2 ½ hour drive from Peoria.
Ground Transportation from Chicago
For those flying into Chicago O’Hare International Airport without dogs, Peoria Charter bus service offers 4 daily shuttles between O’Hare and Peoria. For guests staying at the host hotels, the hotel shuttle can pick you up at Peoria Charter’s CityLink Terminal, which is a few blocks from the Peoria Civic Center and the host hotels. Online reservations are suggested for Peoria Charter. Advance notice to the hotel for shuttle pickup is also recommended.
